John Sparkes
Founded Tech Construction in 1986 and with the help of a great team watched it evolve into the successful, reputable construction company it is today.John graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1978. He spent the next eight years with a West Coast Construction Company Learning the basics of the construction industry.
In 1986 John founded Tech Construction and spent the next thirty plus years gaining experience, building the personal of business relationships necessary to service a wide variety of clients.
The apex of John’s career was serving on the board of NLCA for twelve years correlating in becoming chairman of the board of NLCA with a seat on the board of CCA.
John and his wife Violet currently live in Rocky Harbour in the Gros Morne National park where he grew up. John is an avid hunter, boater, and snowmobiler. He enjoys the great outdoors and spending time with his family.

Randy Luffman
Has been a member of the construction team since 1990. As the general manager and a senior project manager Randy has been instrumental in making Tech Construction (2012) Ltd a successful general contracting firm on the West Coast of the island. He received his diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from Cabot Institute, St. John’s in 1990. He received his accreditation as a C.E.T in 1992 and became Gold Seal Certified in project management in 2016. Randy takes great pride in understanding what the customer wants and strives to provide it in a timely and cost effective manner.
Randy is originally from the East Coast but has been calling Corner Brook home for the past 30 years where he has raised 2 children with his wife, Lucy. In his spare time he enjoys many outdoor activities including fishing, hunting and snowmobiling.

Trevor Hiscock
Has been with Tech Construction(2012) Ltd. since 2006. Part of his role as a Project Manager includes material takeoffs, estimating and project management. Trevor received his Civil Engineering Diploma from the College of the North Atlantic in Corner Brook in 1999. He received his accreditation as a C.E.T in 2005 .Trevor also holds a Certificate of Occupational Safety from the University of Alberta. He joined the Tech Construction team in 2006 after working for 7 years as project coordinator in the Heavy Civil and Oil Gas Industry. His level of exposure and experience has given him the tools necessary for understanding the rapid pace and demands of the construction sector. Trevor’s passion for the building construction industry is shown in his attention to detail and his ability to meet and exceed his customer expectations.
Trevor grew up on the West Coast of Newfoundland and currently lives in Deer Lake with his wife Jennifer and their two children.In his spare time he enjoys participating in outdoor recreational activities with his family and friends.

Jessica Bennett
Has been an Occupational Health and Safety Officer with Tech Construction (2012) Ltd. since 2014. She received her Occupational Health and Safety Diploma from Academy Canada in 2012. Jessica is constantly reviewing and revising the Company Safety Program to keep up with ever changing industry. She is fully trained in the NLCSA Certificate of Recognition (COR) program as an auditor. As well as a NLCSA Certified Competent Fall Protection Equipment Inspector. Jessica believes in the protection of the environment in order to provide a safe and healthy planet for the enjoyment of our families, society in general, and future generations
Jessica was born and raised in St.Paul’s a small town on the Northern Peninsula. Beyond the work day, she enjoys spending quality time with Family.
